Blake Esselstyn, GISP, AICP is a geographer and redistricting consultant with more than two decades of GIS experience. He has presented about redistricting at Harvard University and Duke University—among others—and served as a consulting expert in two 2019 legal cases that resulted in the redrawing of legislative and congressional districts in NC. Prior to working as a consultant, Blake was in the public sector, having spent more than 10 years as a GIS specialist for the City of Asheville (NC) Planning Department.
