Accuracy is no longer in the sole domain of the surveyor.  When is it surveying and when is it positioning, or locating, or mapping?  Who can do what? When does a GIS professional cross the ‘surveying line’?  Why don’t surveyors use more GIS?  As technology continues to evolve, surveyors and GIS professionals and their respective professions will evolve as well.  What will this look like? How do we move forward?
