Understanding the Impacts of the 3 Business Day Turnaround for NG9-1-1
Over the last couple of years, ext Generation 9-1-1 has garnered a lot of attention and momentum. The emphasis has been placed on GIS data readiness and the evolving role of the GIS and Public Safety professionals to support this migration. But did you know that one recommendation provided by NENA potentially has a more profound impact than others? NENA recommends 3 Business Days to correct and resubmit GIS data anomalies in support of geospatial call routing in the NG9-1-1 environment. What they fail to tell you is what happens if you do not meet that recommendation. This presentation will break down the meaning behind “3 Business Days” and highlight some real-world impacts if data is not corrected in the recommended time frame.
