Welcome to URISA’s GIS-Pro 2020 — A special virtual edition for challenging times. We invite you to review the agenda, block your calendar, and join us virtually for URISA’s 58th Annual Conference. Our community has always been resilient and eager to help each other through a crisis. Be engaged. Ask questions. Explore solutions. Make the most of this opportunity. Be safe.
Workshops will be presented ’live’ on September 23 & 24 and after GIS-Pro on October 6 & 7. Attendance at one workshop is included with full registration.
Note that all times in this online agenda are presented in CENTRAL Time (URISA’s office is in Chicago).
You must be registered to access the online platform (which is not this Sched agenda).
The role of community planners continues to evolve to a broader scope than ever before. Planners are called upon to provide strategies for developments to deal with economic opportunity, resilience planning, creating more walkable communities, and so forth. At the same time, the tools that planners have at their disposal to create, analyze, and visualize these developments have evolved rapidly, as well. In this session, we’ll discuss how these web-based tools empower planning professionals to make better, more sustainable, and more justifiable decisions, without being GIS experts.
Presenter: Keith Cooke, Esri Industry Manager of Community Development
