Kathrine Cargo is a GIS Analyst for the Orleans Parish Communication District, the 9-1-1 Administrators for the City of New Orleans. Prior to working in 9-1-1, Kathrine spent six years in public service working as a Planning Administrator and GIS Project Manager for the New Orleans City Planning Commission, and ten years in private industry working for a surveying/mapping company. Kathrine holds a Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, both from the University of New Orleans.
Kathrine is a Past President of Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA) International, a charter member of the Louisiana Chapter of URISA, a founding member and past Chairperson of the URISA NG 9-1-1 Task Force, a member of the National Emergency Numbering Association and APCO and serves on the Executive Committee of the Louisiana GIS Council. She is a certified Geographic Information System Professional (GISP).
