I've been working in the GIS Field for over 27 years. I started out in the Intelligence Community back in Washington, DC and then moved back to the “Real Washington”, taking a job with the Department of Natural Resources in Forest Resources, then the Natural Heritage Program. I went on to work as a Defense/Intel Account Manager for Esri out of the Olympia Office and eventually came over to the Washington Military Department doing GIS for the Army National Guard and then to the State 9-1-1 Office in 2012. Over lapping almost all of that, I did 23 years as a Coast Guard Officer, active and reserve.
