With over twenty-five years of experience in the private and public sectors of Information Technology, Geographic Information Systems, and Planning, Tom Fisher currently holds the position of Enterprise Geospatial Technologies Administrator within the Information Technology Department at Cuyahoga County. Tom is responsible for leading innovative, long-term strategic planning, designing; implementing, and monitoring a comprehensive application development program county-wide; and expanding application development program capabilities into shared service offerings for enterprise geospatial program stakeholders.

Tom holds two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Cartography/GIS and the other in Network Communications Management. He is a Certified Planner (AICP), GIS Professional (GISP), an active member of the American Planning Association (APA), Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA), and Northeast Ohio Geospatial Education and Outreach (NEOGEO) organization.

Tom has held the office of President in the Ohio Chapter of URISA, the Appalachian Ohio Geospatial Data Partnership (AOGDP), and the Northeast Ohio Geospatial Education and Outreach (NEOGEO). Currently, he serves on the URISA Board of Directors and liaises with the Chapter Development and Relations Council and OneURISA Action Committee. Mr. Fisher is also active on the URISA Strategic Planning Committee.
